Authentic Saaren Taika Hamam hand towels, handmade in Turkey, are enchantingly soft and absorbent!

The light and thin material of the Hamam hand towel makes the towel multi-purpose everywhere in Tekstil's kitchen, bathroom and sauna. There are many uses; hand towel, table cloth, seat mat, peflette, hair towel, baby towel, small children's towel, table cloth, floor mat, bathroom mat, baking.... Whatever you can imagine! It dries quickly, so the towel stays smelling good for longer!

The more a hamam towel is washed, the softer and more absorbent it becomes. So this towel gets better as it wears!

Saari Taika hamam towels are Öko-Tex certified cotton.

Weavers who are skilled with their hands work in good working conditions and there are e.g. insured.

Turkish towels need tender care.

The most important thing with a new Turkish bath towel is to pre-wash it. If you're used to washing clothes with power programs and using bleaching agents or fabric softeners, you'd better read the instructions on how to properly wash a Hamam towel on our website!

Wash the towels at 30 degrees, preferably with a gentle washing program and a mild detergent. USE WASHING VINEGAR TO RINSE TOWELS! Do not use traditional fabric softeners, as they reduce the absorbency of your hammam towel. Use laundry vinegar for rinsing instead, and use it sparingly. See washing instructions for hamam towels on our website!

Cotton, like other natural fibers, shrinks when washed, and especially when washed with warm water, the hamam towel may shrink up to 10%.

Read on our website why even a low wash temperature is enough for towels and cotton pads?

Turkish traditional Hamam towels are hand-woven. They are made in the Denizli region of Turkey with the skills of weavers passed down from generation to generation.

The history of Hamam towels is almost six hundred years old.

The fringes of Hamam towels are tied by hand. Sometimes the knots may loosen in use, but that's okay, you can easily tie them back yourself!

Why is an authentic Hamam towel so special?

Hamam towel absorbs water very well, although it is significantly thinner and more comfortable than a terry towel. It dries quickly, which makes it more environmentally friendly. It takes up less space. Washing improves the quality of the Hamam towel and makes it softer and more absorbent!

Hamam towel production has a great employment effect in Turkey!

Search words: hanging loop As with all natural materials, cotton and bamboo also shrink somewhat when washed. Our hamam towels may shrink by approx. 10% in the first washes. Please read the instructions for washing the towel.

Soap factory

Saaren Taika® products are manufactured by hand at Perniön Soap Factory

In Perniö, we produce zero waste cosmetics, which means that no waste is generated from the raw materials.

All of the raw material that goes into Taiketahta's production is used in its entirety, down to the last crumb. This way natural resources are not consumed unnecessarily!

Saaren Taika has used EKOenergia-labeled wind electricity in all its possible locations since the beginning of its operation.

The use of wind electricity curbs climate change, which may be accelerated by the use of fossil fuels.

With our own solar power plant, we now produce a large part of the electricity used in product design and in the production of Särkisalo.
