The most important thing with a new Turkish bath towel is to pre-wash it. If you're used to washing clothes with power programs and using bleaching agents or fabric softeners, you'd better read the instructions on how to properly wash a Hamam towel on our website!

Wash the towels at 30 degrees, preferably with a gentle washing program and a mild detergent. USE WASHING VINEGAR TO RINSE TOWELS! Do not use traditional fabric softeners, as they reduce the absorbency of your hammam towel. Use laundry vinegar for rinsing instead, and use it sparingly. Cotton, like other natural fibers, shrinks when washed, and especially when washed with warm water, the hamam towel may shrink up to 10%.
