With a soap box made by a professional carpenter, you can store your bar soap hygienically and extend its useful life. Wood as a material speeds up the drying of bar soap, as it absorbs part of the soap's water and moisture. The wood is naturally antibacterial, which means it helps your bar of soap stay hygienic.

The soap box has through holes in the lid and bottom, where excess water can drain out and the bar soap can dry between uses, so your bar soap doesn't run out so quickly.

The heat treatment emphasizes the beautiful, even color of the wood and gives the alder used in the soap base the characteristic fresh scent.

The soap box has been treated with pure paraffin oil, which gives the wood even more protection from moisture and helps keep it hygienic.

Paraffin oil is absorbed deep into the grain of the wood, effectively repels water and prevents dirt from sticking to the surface of the soap dish.

Paraffin oil does not release color when wet or become rancid in use, like some oils pressed from plants used for surface treatment of wood. It gives the heat-treated alder a wonderful dark shade and emphasizes its enchanting grain patterns.

The carefully thought out and simple design of the soap box is suitable for rustic romantic as well as modern interior design.

Each box is made and finished by hand, thus guaranteeing the high quality of the product.

Note! The soap box is not intended to be stored in the shower, the halves of the box can be used as soap dishes, e.g. on the edge of the sink or in another place where the dishes are not constantly in contact with running water.

Soap box care instructions: To extend the life of your wonderful soap box, you should take care of it from time to time.

To clean the box, you can wash it under warm water by rubbing off the soap residue with a rag or a brush. Rinse the box thoroughly after washing.

After that, take half a lemon and squeeze the juice from it into a container. Lightly rub the base all over with a rag or paper towel. Citric acid helps disinfect the wood surface and remove odors from it.

If necessary, the worn or scratched surface can be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (120/240).

Once the box has dried, we recommend oiling it with paraffin oil or some cooking oil you can find at home.

Take oil on a lint-free rag or paper towel and spread it all over the surface of the vessel.

You can also pour the oil into a container and immerse the box in it, so that the through holes also get a new oil surface.

Let the oil absorb for a while, after which you can wipe off the excess oil with a paper towel.

The oil protects the base against moisture and the surface remains breathable.
