Manual
With the help of the Gua Sha self-care method, your skin becomes smoother and firmer, because the treatment makes your skin settle more beautifully on the bones of your face.
At this point, the features of your face, especially the jawline and cheekbones, will come out more clearly.
Gua Sha is an old skin care method of Chinese medicine, where blood circulation is accelerated by treating the surface of the skin.
Gua Sha massage helps, among other things, in the removal of waste materials and in the reduction of swelling, and contributes to a better absorption of nutrients in skin care products.
Gua sha massage relaxes the muscles and tense areas of your face and helps improve microcirculation.
With the improvement of blood circulation, the waste materials flow out of your tissues, so the puffiness of your face decreases and your cloudy skin brightens. It causes tension and blockages in your fascia (muscle membrane) to release.
Your emotional state affects the musculature and fascia of the face, causing, for example, so-called "wrinkles". Tensions in the chewing muscles, on the other hand, easily cause swelling, for example.
Gua sha massage stimulates the skin's fibroblasts, which are responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen keeps skin tissues flexible, regenerative and functional.
A person's natural collagen production starts to slow down little by little around the age of 25, and nowadays it is recommended to start using anti-age products already at that age. The massage also removes puffiness around your face and eyes. This is usually the most desired effect of gua sha and the reason why many people want to include gua sha in their skin care routine.
Gua sha can also reduce pigment spots and impurities.
Gua shata is not recommended if your skin is damaged or inflamed, as the method may increase inflammation in different parts of your skin. If your skin has rosacea, acne or eczema around the mouth, the inflamed skin should not be treated, but you can still use gua sha on other skin areas. For example, treatment of the neck area is useful for those suffering from rosacea and acne skin.
In treating any skin problem, it is especially important to treat them from below. If your skin problem is concentrated in the area of the cheeks and chin, it is important to take care of the neck, neck and décolleté. The neck and décolleté are so-called the gateway to the face, as it connects the rest of the body and the face.
Do not rub the swollen skin area directly, such as eye bags.
If your skin has had fillers or other injection treatments done in the past three months, gua sha is not recommended. Gua sha can affect the fascia, so the pressure it creates can move subcutaneous fillers to the wrong places.
If you have a blood clot, bulging artery or arteriosclerosis, gua sha is unfortunately not for you. Diseases or medications related to blood clotting also prevent the practice of gua Sha, as does cancer in an active state. Even with a cold, you should skip gua sha and continue when you are healthy again!
This is how you use the Gua Sha stone
Usage: Gua sha stone should be used when you have more time and want a thorough facial massage. We recommend stone massage 2-3 times a week. The stone is molded in such a way that you can easily use it on different parts of the face, e.g. on the chin or cheekbones.
It can also be used on the body.
Cleanse the face and apply serum, facial oil, mask or cream to the face. Place the narrow edge of the stone tightly against your face. If you want, you can tighten the skin of the face, so that the stone moves more easily. Start the massage on the face from the bottom upwards, from the center of the face away from the face. Do not pull the stone back and forth, but always start from the beginning after the pull. Follow the massage directions in the picture on the package. Gua Sha rolls, i.e. jade rolls, can be used daily, for example in the morning and in the evening.
Tip: Put the jade roller in the refrigerator 15-30 minutes before rolling, and you will get cooling that effectively reduces swelling during your rolling!
Gua Sha Stone Cleansing
Always keep your Gua Sha stone clean, because you don't want to carry dirt and impurities with the stone to your skin when massaging your skin.
Wash the Gua Sha stone or roller after use with 100% natural Saaren Taika Cleaning Soap, which effectively removes fats and bacteria, but does not leave any skin-irritating residue on your Gua Sha stone. When using the roller, follow the same instructions as for the gua sha stone.
The best way to clean a Gua Sha stone is to place it immediately after use in a container where you pour warm cleaning soapy water. Hold Saaren Taika cleaning soap under running water, pour the cleaning soap water into a container and place the Gua Sha stone in the water.
Gently rub the Gua Sha stone with your hands in the water, causing the bacteria, impurities and fat from the skin to dissolve in the water.
Rinse the stone with clean water in a container. Using a container prevents the slippery stone from falling and possible breakage.
