Treatment of acne scars

The most important thing in treating acne scars is prevention, as acne scars are created when pimples caused by acne create deep pits, or scars, in the skin.

There are many different ways to treat acne scars, of which home treatment is the most popular and easiest.

Acne can be controlled and alleviated, for example, by washing acne-prone skin daily with Saaren Taika Tea Tree Soap , which has been dermatologically tested on acne-prone skin and has been found to have an anti-acne effect. Tea tree oil has been shown to reduce acne lesions*.

Studies have shown that tea tree oil can reduce inflammatory acne lesions, and that salicylic acid, retinol, AHAs, and PHAs are effective in treating acne scars and dark spots.

What lightens acne scars?

The skin can be gently exfoliated using chemical methods, such as using serums containing AHA or PHA acids. Chemical peeling is an effective method for treating acne marks and scars, as it promotes skin renewal by exfoliating superficial damage and stimulating the formation of new skin tissue.

The most commonly used exfoliants are salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, and mandelic acid, which belong to the AHA and PHA acids.
