Our founder Johanna's decades-long struggle with severe atopic eczema served as the basis for the creation of the Saaren Taika brand.
After years of using ineffective cortisone creams, Johanna was the first to develop Chamomile Shea Butter in 2017 to control the unbearable itching of her hand rash, and soon after, Tea Tree Soap, which has gained cult fame.
Chamomile shea butter, together with Tea Tree Soap, formed the basis of a cosmetics brand whose products are developed for sensitive and reactive skin using organic and chemically unprocessed raw materials.
