The vessels are made of alder, which has been environmentally heat-treated to increase the hygiene of the surface by reducing nutrients for bacterial growth, emphasizing the wood's beautiful uniform color and improving its resistance to moisture.

Respecting the natural and traditional treatment of wooden surfaces, the vessels are oiled with clean and safe paraffin oil, making this a perfect and hygienic platform for your soap, whose simple and functional design fits both rustic romantic and modern interiors.

Thanks to the treatment, the surface of the wood remains breathable, and preserves the characteristic fresh scent of alder.

Each base is made and finished by hand, thus guaranteeing the high quality of the product.

Soap dish care instructions: To extend the life of your wonderful soap dish, you should take care of it from time to time.

To clean the vessel, you can wash it under warm water by rubbing off the soap residue with a rag or a brush. Rinse the base thoroughly after washing.

After that, take half a lemon and squeeze the juice from it on the tray. Lightly rub the base all over with a rag or paper towel. Citric acid helps to disinfect the wooden surface and remove odors from it.

If necessary, the worn or scratched surface can be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (120/240).

Once the base has dried, we recommend oiling it with natural linseed oil or some cooking oil you can find at home.

Take oil on a lint-free rag or paper towel and spread it all over the surface of the vessel.

You can also pour the oil into a container and submerge the vessel in it, so that the through holes also get a new oil surface.

Let the oil absorb for a while, after which you can wipe off the excess oil with a paper towel.

The oil protects the base against moisture and the surface remains breathable.
