With a soap box made by a professional carpenter, you can store your bar soap hygienically and extend its lifespan. Wood as a material speeds up the drying of the bar soap, as it absorbs some of the water and moisture in the soap. Wood is naturally antibacterial, which means it helps your bar soap stay hygienic.

The soap box has holes in the lid and bottom, allowing excess water to drain away and the bar soap to dry between uses, so your bar soap doesn't run out so quickly.

The soap dish is made of strong, high-quality alder, which has been environmentally friendly heat-treated to increase the wood's moisture resistance and provide protection against bacteria.

Heat treatment highlights the beautiful, even color of the wood and gives the alder used in the soap base its characteristic fresh scent.

The soap box has been treated with pure paraffin oil, which gives the wood even more protection from moisture and helps keep it hygienic.

Paraffin oil absorbs deep into the wood grains, effectively repelling water and preventing dirt from adhering to the surface of the soap dish.

Paraffin oil does not discolour when wet or go rancid with use, like some oils pressed from plants used to treat wood. It gives heat-treated alder a stunning dark shade and highlights its enchanting grain patterns.

Note! The soap box is not intended to be stored in the shower, the halves of the box can be used as soap dishes, e.g. on the edge of the sink or in another place where the dishes are not constantly in contact with running water.
