Saaren Taika Sea Buckthorn Shampoo supports the well-being of your scalp and hair with natural and sulfate-free ingredients.

The shampoo uses jojoba oil to moisturize the scalp and nourish the hair.

The sea buckthorn leaf extract contained in the sea buckthorn shampoo is extracted from the dried leaves of sea buckthorn bushes growing on the Särkisalo islands. Sea buckthorn is the most nutritious natural berry, rich in vitamins, flavonoids, antioxidants and beneficial fatty acids.

Organic sunflower oil helps neutralize free radicals and soothes the scalp, while organic coconut oil makes the shampoo foamy and effectively cleanses.

Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, on the other hand, provides moisturizing gentleness to the shampoo.

Usage: You can lather the shampoo bar in your hands and massage the shampoo foam into wet hair or you can lather it directly into the hair by rubbing the shampoo bar as it is into wet hair. Massage the scalp thoroughly with your fingertips and then move to the ends. Finally, rinse the hair thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Tip: Using a bar shampoo may initially cause soap scum on stressed hair, but this phenomenon usually disappears after a few washes. If necessary, you can use a vinegar rinse for stressed hair. A vinegar rinse is made by diluting vinegar with water. The rinse can also remove mineral residues from the hair. After the vinegar rinse, rinse the hair thoroughly.

Using bar shampoo on treated hair

Please note that when you first start using shampoo bars, or when you switch from one shampoo bar to another, stressed hair may initially experience a so-called soap stickiness. This is a very common phenomenon when you start washing stressed or treated hair with shampoo bars. In this case, soap residue may remain in the hair's scaly structure, which can make the hair feel sticky.

The more worn and stressed your hair is, the more open the hair cuticles are and the more easily soap residue can get stuck in them. Hair is damaged by things like brushing, dyeing, sun exposure, heat treatments, and styling products.

For most people, the stickiness disappears after just a few washes, but for very worn or treated hair, an additional vinegar rinse may be needed.
