Tar salve experiences: Read verified customer feedback below:
"Softens skin well, lovely tar scent. Not too strong." -Ulla P.
"Good for dry skin and skin damage. Effective for mild itching. Milder end among tar salves." -Tytti S.
"Huge recommendation. A actively sporting 16-year-old had a large, very dry, and badly cracked area on the sole of his foot, located at the ball of the foot. There was no dryness or cracking on the heels, for example, which is more common. We decided to try Saaren Taika for skin problems once again, and we were not disappointed this time either. After five days of use, the cracks are already looking very neat and closing up. There is no more dryness either." -Mari H.
"A wonderfully tar-scented cream that is the best cream for dry heels. A full ten-point cream." -Ulla K.
People of old used tar for treating wounds and inflammations, and tar salve may also help with psoriasis and acne skin, as well as in treating calluses, warts, and corns.
Tar salve is suitable for all skin types, especially for use on chafing, rashes, dry skin areas, dry heels, etc.
Domestic Old Folk's Tar Salve, for all skin types

Saaren Taika Tar Salve smells of tar, and no other fragrances have been used in it.
Tar salve is easy to spread and absorbs quickly.
Organic and natural ingredients to support your skin's well-being
Saaren Taika Tar Salve also contains almond oil and shea butter.
Regular use of almond oil makes the skin feel younger. The vitamin E and fatty acids in almond oil fight the signs of aging.
Saaren Taika Shea Butter is especially effective in treating dry and irritated skin, as it supports the skin's natural moisture balance and helps restore your skin's protective layer. This makes shea butter an excellent ingredient, for example, during the winter months when the skin is exposed to cold and drying air.
One of the most significant benefits of shea butter is its anti-aging effect. Shea butter contains triterpenes, which prevent the breakdown of collagen and help maintain your skin's elasticity. Triterpenes also inhibit the formation of lines and wrinkles, making your skin look smoother and more youthful.
Shea butter is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. The plant esters in shea butter help soothe the skin and can alleviate the symptoms of irritated skin. This makes shea butter an ideal ingredient for sensitive skin care. Read more about shea butter.

OUR STORY
Developed out of genuine need for challenging skin
Our founder Johanna's decades-long struggle with skin problems led to the creation of the Saaren Taika brand.
After years of using ineffective cortisone creams, Johanna developed Chamomile Shea Butter in 2017 to control the unbearable itching of her hand rash, and soon after, Tea Tree Soap, which gained cult fame.
Today, the story of Saaren Taia is carried forward by Johanna's daughter Veera, leading Saaren Taia towards the next stage in challenging skin care and researched efficacy.
