What do neurocosmetics do for the skin?

There is a vast network of nerves under the skin. They sense everything: cold, heat, touch, itch, and irritation. When something irritates your skin, the nerves send a message to the brain: "something is happening here." The brain responds, and the skin reacts.

A healthy skin barrier acts as a gatekeeper. It keeps irritants at bay so they don't even reach the nerve endings. When the barrier is weakened, this protection disappears. Then everyday things can directly affect the skin's nerve endings: cold, the temperature of tap water, sweating, soap, rubbing of clothing, wind. Each of these triggers a nerve reaction. The nerves send an alarm to the brain. The skin reddens, itches, or stings.
The more the nerves react, the more sensitive they become. The cycle starts to feed itself.

A regular moisturizer hydrates the skin's surface, but it doesn't affect how sensitively the nerve endings react. A neurocosmetic product acts directly on the nerve endings: it calms their overactivity, breaks the irritation-inflammation-irritation cycle, and strengthens the barrier so that irritants can no longer reach the nerve endings as easily.

Our products are developed specifically for redness-prone, rosacea, and atopic skin, where the skin's protective barrier is weakened and the nervous system is hypersensitive. Each formula contains clinically tested active ingredients whose effect on the skin's nerve reaction has been documented. A neurosensory compound derived from oats reduces skin irritation by 39 percent in just 30 minutes. The active ingredient Centella asiatica strengthens capillary walls, so that 75 percent of test subjects saw a reduction in redness. Green seaweed extract balances the skin's microbiome and reduced redness by up to 67 percent in dermatologist evaluation.
